FAQ'S

  • 1) I have an old house with a tiled roof. Can you still install a skylight?

Yes! We do installations on all roofing profiles and use a wide range of tilted bases and shafts to accommodate roofs with flat or steep designs.

  • 2) Will water leak through in or after a storm?

Skylights are manufactured to withstand the conditions in Australia. Provided your skylight is installed correctly and regularly maintained, it should remain watertight for its lifetime. But if the unexpected happens, call Central Coast Skylights for a repair.

  • 3) How do I clean my skylight?

Most skylights can be cleaned similarly to other windows. However, their positioning can make regular cleaning problematic. Call us to clean your skylights! We offer yearly maintenance of roof windows and skylights. Commercial cleaning and guttering companies also offer this service in some areas.

  • 4) What are the benefits of tubular skylights?

Tubular lighting is ideal for small spaces or rooms without direct roof access. The flexible shaft bends within the ceiling so light can be directed where needed in the room. The sun's rays bounce along reflective coating, sending light into your bathroom, pantry, or closet. Tubular skylights are affordable and easy to install.

  • 5) I want a vented skylight in a hard-to-reach ceiling. How do I open and close it?

We install roof windows that can be operated by remote control. Complete with automatic rain sensors, you won't have to worry if you're out during a storm. Your windows will close and open up again when the sun comes out!
